Campbeltown Town Hall & SKDT Hall (Kirk Street)

All base venue hire rates are inclusive of standard heating, lighting, and basic kitchen access (unless otherwise stated). All commercial rates are explicitly stated to manage VAT expectations.

1. WEDDINGS (Campbeltown Town Hall)

Positioned competitively against the £4,500–£7,000 average for Scottish historic/heritage venues in 2026, while maintaining premium status in Argyll. Packages include: Exclusive space use, commercial kitchen access, banqueting tables, chairs, in-house PA system, and mood lighting.

2. PARTIES & PRIVATE FUNCTIONS

For birthdays, anniversaries, ceilidhs, and private evening events. Kitchen access is included for self-catering or external caterers.

Benchmark: Aligned precisely with Southend Village Hall (£20/hr base) and Rockfield Centre Oban (£24–£27/hr ex-VAT).

5. KITCHEN & CATERING SURCHARGES

To cover the rising costs of electricity and gas, kitchen access is strictly tiered across all SKDT venues. Contact us for details.

6. ADDITIONAL SERVICES, EQUIPMENT & FEES

These pass-through costs and extras are strictly applied on top of base rates to protect the Trust’s operational margins.

Licensing & Staffing

• External Bar License Fee (Town Hall): £400 (inc. VAT) for the operation of an external licensed bar. (Note: If utilising the SKDT in-house bar, no fee applies).

• Specialist Event Staffing: £25 per hour (Required for specialised sound/lighting engineers or requested door security).

• Out-of-Hours / Additional Setup: £30 per hour (Applied if access is required outside the contracted package hours, e.g., Thursday night wedding setup).

Equipment Hire & Refreshments

• Projector & Screen: £20 per day

• TV / Display Monitor: £20 per day

• Flip-chart & Pens: £8 per day

• Tea, Coffee & Biscuits: £3.00 per person (covers a single round, including staff setup/clear-down).

All income generated via hires and events at Campbeltown Town Hall are used to cover the administration and running costs of this important community owned building.

The Campbeltown Town Hall Project won the “Judges Special Project Award” at the 2016 Herald Property Awards. The judges noted that ‘This year saw many high calibre entries across the categories, some with backstories of tenacity and of communities working together which really impressed myself and my fellow judges. Campbeltown Town Hall really stood out and demonstrated how a small community trust has created a catalyst for revitalisation of a whole town centre.’

Fantastic venue for events large and small :-) The newly refurbished Town Hall is a credit to the town. The finish means that any Wedding reception will feel like a million dollars and the clever layout upstairs means that the dining area can be set out for various sizes of parties. If you are considering your Campbeltown wedding venues then get along for a look, you will not be disappointed G.W.

As a celebrant with Humanist Society Scotland I conduct weddings all over Scotland and it was my pleasure to conduct a wedding at the town hall on a sunny day in summer. The place looks great, the facilities are second to none (quality lighting and sound system) and the staff couldn't have been more helpful.
